The only groups in America that can be criticized, lampooned, lambasted, and even threatened, are Conservatives, Christians, Republicans, and all white people, unless of course the white people are dedicated liberal democrats, then it is acceptable if they were once former Klan members! Liberal white people can also say negative, racists remarks about black people and remain a respected member of the democratic coalition in good standing. Yes, it certainly seems like equality and racial harmony is a sideshow presentation of smoke and mirrors.
USA today recently ran a series of articles on the OscarsSoWhite controversy. After reading all the nonsense related to this subject in the paper(s), I decided to do a little unofficial study of USA today. Since my study was unofficial, my headline asks a question, rather than stating a fact. The most humorous article I read in USA Today in regards to OscarsSoWhite, was the related article they called: “How we determined the studios’ grades”. They basically put the human race in a variety of categories according to Census guidelines on race and ethnicity. USA today even had a multi-ethnic category! This article and the related ones, was an exercise in utter stupidity. So, I thought I would have some fun with the great diverse folks at USA Today, by rating their own diversity. Here’s what I discovered in my unofficial examination of their paper.
I examined the papers columnists over a period of days during USA Today’s articles in regards to this ridiculous subject, and what I found was that nearly every columnist, or the majority where head shots accompanied the article, were white. Gee, imagine that. (I am listening to the sound track of Wizard of Oz while writing this article, not only is it great, but it fits!). I think the writers of USA Today need to follow the Scarecrow to Oz!!!! Now, in USA Today’s defense, I viewed many articles without pictures, but still, most of the writers pictured over three or four days were white. Now that’s a horse of another color!
It’s okay USA Today, it may be, you just don’t know how it works!
A Personal Message to all the Performers featured in USA Today’s study:
The publisher of The Biblical Constitution is more interested in your talent and entertainment value, than your ethnicity, the color of your skin, your country of origin, or your sexual orientation. If there was another thing about you that I would examine, and I wouldn’t, it would be the color of your hearts. Is your heart full of darkness (evil, not color) or is it full of light (love, and charity). I am asking the following performers to join me in the promotion of unity, despite our diversity, so that generations in the future, will not view us as Uneducated Neanderthals! Calling on: Chadwick Boseman, Ryan Coogler, Edgar Ramirez, James Wan, Andre Holland, Jonas Cuaron, Ana De Armas, Oscar Isaac, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Nate Parker, Michael B. Jordan (saw you in Creed, great performance!), J. A. Bayona, Jason Mitchell, Amma Asante, Tessa Thompson (saw you in Creed also, you were great!), Olivia Munn, and Selena Gomez! All of the performers above, were featured in USA Today’s related articles, in one way or another. I am still listening to the Wizard of Oz sound track and I find that I have entered the pinnacle of synchronicity! The Lion happens to be singing about his Courage! I submit that we are all of the human family and all of one blood. Let us embrace unity and courage, instead of celebrating our superficial differences!
