I don’t know how long ago it was, but I do know that it has been years when I had the following revelation. I was watching Fox News on the couch with another person. This person is my witness to this fact, oh, and I checked with her to see if she would confirm what I am about to write in this blog, in the event that this claim ever needed to be substantiated. I was watching Fox News one evening and contributor Kirsten Powers was a guest. I cannot begin to guess, what Kirsten was defending or disagreeing with, but I noticed something. I noticed something in her eyes.
I knew very little of Kirsten Powers at this time, other than I knew she was a contributor to Fox, usually defending a democrat leader, a position held by democrats, or something along that line. I was not a friend, colleague, or even a casual acquaintance, but I did know the political positions that she usually defended, at least when I would see her on Fox.
As I was watching Kirsten speak, I felt something powerful, I turned to my significant other, and said something along these lines: Kirsten Powers is troubled with what she is defending, she is going to change positions, I can see it in her eyes.
Kirsten is still a liberal as far as I know, but she has written a new book. I just finished reading it and I will review it very soon. I am sure that the revelation I wrote about herein, is not a surprise or revelation to Kirsten’s colleagues or friends, or even some of Fox News more dedicated viewers, but to me, a casual viewer, it was a revelation, and now a testimony.
We are confronted in this nation and the world, with two forces, and they are both spiritual. The nature of these forces, which are both extremely powerful, with one being far more powerful, are made up of either good or evil. The good spiritual force is God and everything working toward God’s divine plan are irresistible powers. The power of the Holy Spirit reveals ultimate truth, and if a person opens themselves up to the anointing of The Holy Spirit, truth will fall upon them and stay with them. Spiritual discernment is my gift. I saw this troubling flicker in Kirsten’s countenance because of this gift. Kirsten may still be a liberal in many of her beliefs, but the moral of this story, is the fact that I knew something was coming without knowing what it was. Her book is here.
The trouble with most of the world, is that they have embraced the other spiritual power, and that power originates from, the kingdom of darkness. If a person allows this force to fester unchecked, it will lead to many awful things. This dark power comes from Satan and although he is very powerful, his power pales when compared with GOD’S Power. Satan promotes murder, temptation, lust, hatred, racism, religion (more on that later), and many other horrible conditions and sorrows. Like the Holy Spirit reveals truth, Satan’s hordes of evil forces promote lies and deceptions, so much so, that many people cannot discern from right or wrong anymore, or otherwise do not care which is which. I believe that Satan’s greatest power is deception, and when a person opens themselves up to him, they end up with a reprobate mind instead a clear, concise, concept of truth.
Satan is not the cause of all of our problems however, for much of our problems stem from our own sin nature, but still, these dark forces play a real role many times, in regards to our spiritual demise, and even physical destruction.
This is all why, when I became aware of this book, I could not wait to purchase it. This was not the review for Kirsten’s book, but why Mark Damon wanted to review it!
I want to leave everyone with two final scriptures concerning the issues I have addressed above. As you dwell upon the words above and the scripture below understand these two realities: There will be Atheists and religious people in Hell, and this is because the road to heaven is narrow. You get to heaven by following the scripture in Romans 10, verses 9 and 10.
The Bible also tells us: Enter ye in at the straight gate; for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat, because straight is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Matthew 7:13-14.
Soon to come, a review of THE SILENCING, by Kirsten Powers.
