Martin Luther King presented his “I have a dream speech”, on August 28, 1963. I was not there, but I have read the speech. It was not only a good speech, but it touched my ears with truth. That’s what I do here, touch ears with the truth. It is up to you whether you hear it, and believe it, so get ready, I’m not pulling any punches. I have a presupposition about Mr. King. I am going to say he was a good man. I do not know much about the history of Mr. King, except what I have read in his speech, or what I have heard about him, but let me tell you why, that what kind of man King was, does not matter, one way or the other. His dream was righteous and true, so no matter what others may say in the negative about King, his speech was a speech that echoed real truth. Using this standard, and assuming King wanted the dream he expressed, my presupposition is correct for the purposes of this article, and how it relates to dreams and nightmares.
I explained my position in the first paragraph the way I did, because many of today’s Civil Rights icons, could careless about equality, brotherhood, or God. Unlike King, their dream is not to sit at the table with a white brother or sister, but to use deception to con black brothers, in order to line their pockets with money. King told his black brothers and sisters not to hate the white man, because he knew that many white people stood for the equality and freedom, that was written into our Constitution, to be equally applied to black people. Still, King did not have contempt for our founding documents, at least not in his speech, he just longed for a day, where all would enjoy the rights in the Constitution. King was for peace and non-violence and he talked about a time, when we could all be united in brotherhood!
Today, anything and everything is racism, and brotherhood is under constant and utter assault. Nearly everyday, white people in America are told how they are all a bunch of racists. For example, if anyone disagrees with Obama’s position on Obama care, that person is a racist, if you disagree with Obama on gun control, your a racist, if you disagree with Obama on gay marriage, your a racist, if you disagree with Obama on the Iran deal, your a racist, if you disagree with Obama on radical Islam, your a racist, if you stand up for your religious beliefs and it does not fit with what Obama believes, your a racist. White people have had an enormous part in electing President Obama, and former candidate Ben Carson had enormous white support as well, but still, Americans are constantly called racists! Let me tell you, if my presupposition is correct about the man, Martin Luther King, then his dream has been converted into a personal nightmare! We can only hope, that God spares him from seeing what a mess, that white liberals and so-called modern civil rights leaders, are making of his past noble efforts!
God help us!
Martin Luther King talked about Real Police Brutality, in an age where black people just wanted to experience equal rights, but he talked about non-violence and peace also. How would he view many of the accusations directed at police today, when in many of the cases involving accusations, the suspects the police were arresting, were engaged in fighting the police, or resisting them for their efforts to simply enforce the law? My presupposition, which has been reached by reading Martin Luther King’s, “I have a dream” speech, tells me, that Mr. King, would want to know about the how and why of the incident, and not about the color of the suspects, because he believed in a future colorless brotherhood! Today’s civil rights leaders, expect the worse immediately, and fuel the racial fire, often causing more civil unrest and violence. So much, for King’s dream.
I certainly do not want to suggest that Modern Police Brutality does not happen, because I am sure it does, but I am equally sure it does not happen every time an officer places a black person under arrest, or gives them a lawful directive.
King’s nightmare continues:
Martin Luther King Jr, used references from the Bible in his “I have a dream speech”. He was also a Baptist Minister. I wonder how he would feel about such a large portion of the black electorate supporting candidates (The democrats) that support so much immoral rot? My presupposition based on Mr. King’s speech, tells me he would be appalled. I hope he would, because I certainly am, and I agree with him on his colorless dream.
I want to see a day when both races tell these devious black civil rights leaders and liberal white commentators, to get lost, and allow us to love one another, and embrace true racial harmony, the way Martin Luther King Jr, intended for all people.
To show you how bad it is, and how Martin Luther King’s Dream has been dismissed, I give one more example via national newspaper, and by going home to Louisville Kentucky:
I once lived in Louisville Kentucky, and still live within driving distance, In fact, I find myself in my home city quite often for various reasons. In my frequent visits to Louisville, I often read some local publications within that city. One of them, LEO, (Louisville Eccentric Observer) a free paper available at several businesses, is one that I often pick up. I disagree with this paper pretty much every time I pick it up, but lately, it has really gotten under my skin. One such article that recently appeared in LEO, relates to the theme of this blog, so I think it is worth mentioning.
Erica Rucker, a columnist for LEO, recently wrote an article entitled fall of the house, where she first ranted about the oppressive founding of America, only to be followed by, an indictment of all white people, whom she claims, must own all of the problems of the present, in regards to race relations, because of the sins committed by white people in the past. She continued to display a racist spirit within herself, by constantly complaining about the racism within all white people. She fails to mention how President Barack Obama could have been elected by a black minority, since so many white people are racists, perhaps she believes there was a second Civil War in America, and Obama, was a type of a black George Washington, who came to power after a great black uprising. She also fails to mention, why so many white racist people, wanted Ben Carson as their President, instead of a very white Hillary Clinton, or even a Donald Trump, another popular candidate she points to, that supposedly, proves pandemic white racism.
The problem with using Trump as an example of rampant white racism, is actually another gaffe that reveals Rucker’s own prejudices. If she would follow the daily news, she would find that millions of conservatives, people she would usually call white racists, do not want Donald Trump as their President, and in fact, many so-called Trump supporters, are suspected democrats, voting in primaries that allow such democrats to vote for the republican nominee!! The article authored by Rucker was not only racist, anti-American, and woefully ignorant, but I bet it is still contributing to King’s nightmare!
If a white Rucker somewhere in America, had written such an article about black people, she would have been fired on the spot. It is not that racism is not acceptable in America, it just has to be the right kind of racism. It is not that religious bigotry is unacceptable in America, it just has to be Christian bigotry, or heterosexual bigotry, you get the picture, right? All acceptable bigots, please see the radical left, for your orders of the day!
I Think if Martin Luther King was with us today, he would be very unhappy with this constant reverse racism. This is not the America he wanted. On so many levels, this type of boogeymen racism, is chipping away at the fabric and stability of this nation and its people. It could also be called pop-culture racism, or entitlement racism, since the basis for so much of it, is about largess and unearned recognition. This all boils down to the sin nature of human beings, both black and white. If people can use manipulative action in order to secure good jobs, or if your a leader of the civil rights movement, and you can make a good living on the industry of retro-racism, then your going to do so, especially, if you are a rabid sinner.
Good men and women should reject this racism nonsense as it’s presented in popular culture, and only fight with people side by side, when it happens to be an obvious case of genuine racism, whether it be directed at a black person, or a white person. Genuine racism is clearly evident in Rucker’s column of March 16, 2016, and if you don’t believe me, get a back issue, and read it yourself. Don’t hold your breath while you wait for LEO to fire her, or you will die of asphyxiation.
A National Paper, and an example of Boogeymen Racism:
USA Today, has recently published articles on the OscarSoWhite controversy, because they feel that there are not enough people of color represented at those awards. This is another example of pop culture racism, but not against black people, but racism directed toward white people. There is no interview, investigation or jury trial to prove white on black racism exist at the Oscars, instead, as almost always, it is an automatic assumption, which is followed by another absurd demand, on the part of journalists, demanding unearned recognition for people of color that may not of made the grade.
I saw Creed, and I thought it was a good movie, but it really did not exclusively focus on Creed’s Son, but on Creed’s Son and on a series of challenges for Rocky, which ended in some closure, for the fans of the Rocky movies. I can tell you right now, most people went to see this movie to see what Balboa was going to do, and not what Creed’s Son was going to do. The actor portraying Creed’s son did a great job, but I saw nothing extraordinary in the acting, at least it was that way for me. An actor that can make me believe he or she is whom they are portraying in a movie, is an actor that deserves an Oscar for that movie, as far as I’m Concerned.
I think the following actors deserve an Oscar for these past performances. I am going to take you back several years, but I believe they are good examples of unforgettable performances. Tommy Lee Jones played a U.S. Marshal in the movie the fugitive, and he was in charge of a pursuit, of a character played by Harrison Ford. Tommy Lee Jones did a masterful job of making me believe, that he was a confident, wise cracking, U.S. Marshal. I have no idea if he received an award or not, but I would have voted that he deserved one. Re-visiting the Rocky mythology a moment more, Carl Weathers, did the very same thing in the Rocky movies for me, that Jones did in the fugitive! Denzel Washington deserves an Oscar for Crimson Tide, as well as co-actor Gene Hackman. For me, that’s two for two, two black actors, two white, but I am using USA Today’s goofy pop-culture standards in framing it this way, I personally, could careless about the skin color of the actors, I just know, I enjoyed their performances!
The Oscars are usually at odds with average movie goers in ideas of what was great and what was poor to begin with. I guess some producers and movie companies are better in tune, since some of the movies they produce, make millions and millions, but still are not featured as award winners at the Oscars. The same situation exist with liberal reviewers, when they often assign one or two stars out of four or five possible, to a movie not only fans loved, but continue to see at the theater until it is gone. The problem is, is with liberal ideology and hypocrisy, for both things go hand in hand. USA Today complains that there is not enough people of color recognized in their movies, yet liberals control the industry. It’s like the garter snake complaining about the ribbon snake!
People will see a movie and wear it out at the movies, and then on video if it’s good! It’s that simple. Why would ANY black actor want an affirmative action type atmosphere at the Oscars? Do you think anyone that happens to be a black actor, would want their fans to think, that their Oscar is based on the color of their skin or their performance? The answer is eliminating liberalism at the Oscars, not racism, because Conservatives and Christians are not hung up on color, gender etc, etc, etc!
Martin Luther King Jr, would cringe at the utter nonsense and the constant wedges, that are driven between the races today, by these flimflam people.
I HAVE A DREAM:
My dream is Martin Luther King Jr’s dream, that we can eliminate skin color from the dialogue in this nation, and replace it with better things, those things being Love, Brotherhood, and unity. Diversity, is a liberal word used so that the flimflam artists can ply their race, sex, and class warfare trades. I hope that Rucker, the writers at USA Today, and millions of others in this nation, will begin in joining me, to honor Martin Luther King Jr, and the dream he had, before many people, turned it into a nightmare.
